I'm not completely done watching it (about half way through as I post this). I've seen a few things already that just seem extremely "far-fetched" that make me believe it has to be fake. Still a little freaky to watch though

Synopsis for you so far! (While it rebuffers for me)

The family went to sit down for dinner when all the lights went out. 3 guys went out to the fuse box to check it and saw some sparking light come from a transformer over in a field. They go check it out and the guys video taping when they see this huge UFO. It's round and has a few lights coming out of it. Than they see an alien walking around and shortly after they see another one. The 2 aliens spot them and one fires a wierd red ray at them. They bolt all the way back to the house where you find out one guy was shot in the hand. Than they try telling the rest of the family but they don't believe them so they show them the tape of the aliens. After that everyones freaked out and they hear a really loud pitched noise (though you can't hear it). The camera dude than goes outside and sees one of them in the bathroom window. They check out the upstairs and one guy says he sees one and had him locked in a room. The red light shoots out of the room and the guy fires his shotgun and apparently hits the alien. They go in to see and say they had shot the alien and it looked dead (though you don't get to see it because the camera man didn't get a look at the alien, jeez great). Than they all head back down stairs and are trying to get ready to leave (earlier they were going to but apparently the aliens disabled there trucks engine). Than the red light hits one of the girls and she goes down. And that's where I'm at.

edit: Hour into it now and it has to be fake. There are way to many cliche things that you would expect to happen and the camera angles are much to perfect.

THe only thing thats freaked me out about this so far (55 minutes in) is that right as i started watching this a thunderstorm rolled in around my town. I'm very not convinced atm.

Makes me wanna play X:Com again...

The only thing I could think is, if it's true, doesn't the guy holding the camera have something better to be doing other than filming this.

Just finished watching. The aliens that you see at the end look like the gray alien masks you could find around halloween. Well, was interesting to watch to say the least.

EDIT: Umm, the end end is kind of confusing (don't want to say what it is because of major spoilers). But yea, I guess that clears up everything lol.

Thanks for the comments guys. I don't know if it's just me but it is extremely frightening. Maybe it's cos I seen it on TV, better quality maybe?

Anyone else find it quite scary? I was frozen! hehe

Apparently this is a remake. The original; which I have yet to find ; was at a birthday party. This was supposedly remade as the majority of the original copies were burnt when the factory was set alight. A few copies of the original must be running around somewhere.

Ah i could tell it was fake from the beginning. One they bleeped out the curse words, 2 they used the same laser to cut into the cow as to shoot brian. And brians hand only gets burned. After what the laser did to the Circuit breaker and the Transformer his hand should of been run through by the laser. Sorry but i dont think anything like this ever happened.

They concentrated the laser on the cow, maybe they did the same for the box?

Even if it is a fake it's still really good to watch imo

Hahaha my roommate for next year and I are actually kinda gonna do that. He is going to dress up as Master Chief, and im going to be Spiderman, then we are going to hang out in the dorm elevators all day and just press buttons.

On topic still dont think the laser would of just left that kind of burn.
